It was previously reported that the collaboration between Aston Villa and W88 Thailand, an online gaming company that mostly targets the Asian market, would cease during the 2019–20 season.
This means that W88 will no longer be the club’s jersey sponsor going forward. The news was made following the club’s announcement that the agreement would terminate during the 2019–20 season.
After signing a “record-breaking commercial collaboration” arrangement with W88 in June of the previous year, the W88 emblem appeared on the playing clothes and training equipment of both the first and second teams.
In addition, the first team’s training gear had the W88 emblem as well. This was done to promote the strategy company, which was renamed “W88” for this purpose.
The club, on the other hand, argued that it had reached “an inevitable decision” and that it only applied to that season of competition..
To thank W88 Mobile for their support over the past year, Aston Villa has released the following statement, which contains the following excerpt:
The Wolverhampton Wanderers’ previous shirt sponsor, W88, ended their contract with the club in June of this year, bringing an end to the connection. As a result, the company rebranded as ManBetX, a new entity specializing in the Asian market.
